With the gas-powered Hyundai Tucson, you can choose from one of five available trims: the SE, SEL, N Line, XRT, and Limited. The Tucson uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque and an eight-speed automatic transmission. This SUV can go up to 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. With optional all-wheel drive, it gets 24 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. SE

The N Line comes with black side mirrors, an exclusive black grille with a matching Hyundai symbol in the middle, exclusive hubcaps, and a unique rear spoiler. XRT

Limited

The Limited is the most luxurious version of the Tucson. All-wheel drive is standard, and the turbocharged, 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine produces 180 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. There’s also a 270-volt battery and an electric motor that gives 59 horsepower for a total of 226 horsepower when combined. This SUV uses a six-cylinder automatic transmission. Except for a different engine, the Tucson Limited hybrid is similar to the gas version. It has 64-color ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel, a 10.25-inch touch screen with navigation and traffic information, heated rear seats with high and low settings, parking collision avoidance and distance warning, and stain-resistant cloth seats with leather accents.

The Plug-In Hybrid

With the plug-in hybrid, you can select either the SEL or Limited trim. This vehicle uses the same gas engine as the hybrid. It also has an electric engine that generates 90 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque. Together, both engines can produce 261 horsepower. You can charge the battery completely in less than two hours, and the plug-in Tucson can go 35 mpg with the gas engine. With only electric power, it has a 33-mile range.
