2023 Hyundai Palisade

In 2023, the eight-passenger Palisade received the biggest refresh in the Hyundai lineup. As the brand’s flagship SUV, the Palisade is the perfect choice for families on the go, whether you’re running errands in Auburn or embarking on a cross-country road trip. This year, the three-row SUV makes an even more impressive entrance with a wider grille, an extended hood profile, new headlights and daytime running lights, and a new multi-spoke alloy wheel design.

Inside the 2023 Palisade, third-row passengers can now enjoy heated seats, making it the first Hyundai three-row vehicle to offer this available option. A redesigned instrument panel has new ambient lighting, and there’s an updated steering wheel design. The 2023 Palisade also offers upgraded technology, including faster wireless charging capability and Wi-Fi hot spot capability, a first for Hyundai. The SUV also comes with a suite of advanced safety and driver-assistance features, including forward collision-avoidance assist, blind spot collision-avoidance assist, safe exit assist, high beam assist, lane following assist, and remote smart parking assist.

New this year, Hyundai now offers a Palisade XRT trim, similar to the Tucson and Santa Fe XRT models. This rugged Palisade trim features dark 20-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails, a power sunroof, and black synthetic leather upholstery. In this new trim, you’re sure to turn heads as you cruise down the Alabama highways.

2023 Hyundai Santa Fe

While the Hyundai Santa Fe received fewer substantial updates in 2023 than the larger Palisade, it now offers enhanced comfort and convenience features on more trims. Highway driving assist, which can help you stay centered in your lane and follow a safe distance behind other vehicles on the road, now comes standard on most Santa Fe models. Besides the base trim, all 2023 Santa Fe models now have the larger 10.25-inch touch screen and dynamic voice recognition. The hybrid and plug-in hybrid Santa Fe models also come in a new white color for 2023, called Serenity White Pearl.

2023 Hyundai Tucson

The Hyundai Tucson received a full redesign in 2022, so this year, the changes are more minimal. Most notably, some safety and driver-assistance features now come standard on all Tucson models, including smart cruise control, intelligent speed limit assist, and front-collision assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection. Wireless device charging also comes standard on more gas trims and all hybrid and plug-in hybrid models.

2023 Hyundai Elantra and Sonata

Both the Elantra and Sonata received minimal changes in 2023. More trims now come standard with a 10.25-inch multimedia touch screen and built-in navigation. In the Hyundai Elantra, a 10.25-inch LCD driver instrument cluster has also replaced a smaller analog display on most models. Hybrid Sonata models now sport a panoramic sunroof instead of a solar roof.

In 2023, Hyundai discontinued making the Accent, a small sedan. Without this offering, the Hyundai Venue, a subcompact SUV, has become the brand’s entry-level model, and the Elantra and Sonata are now the only two sedans in the Hyundai lineup.

2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5

Introduced in 2022, the Ioniq 5 has quickly become a top vehicle in the Hyundai lineup. In 2023, all-wheel-drive models increased their all-electric range to 266 miles per charge. A battery heating system, which came standard last year on all-wheel-drive models, now comes standard on all 2023 Ioniq 5s, along with battery preconditioning. The 2023 Ioniq 5 also increased its towing capacity significantly, now boasting a 2,300-pound limit. New this year, you can also purchase an Ioniq 5 in an eye-catching Gravity Gold Matte exterior color.

2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz

Hyundai’s popular pickup truck, the Santa Cruz, received a few new updates for 2023. Some features previously only on higher trims now come standard in other models, including smart cruise control, intelligent speed limit assist, and dynamic voice recognition. In addition, more safety features now come standard on all models, including blind spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, and safe exit warning. Two exterior colors also received updates, and you can now get the 2023 Santa Cruz in either Atlas White or California Sand.

Other Changes to the 2023 Hyundai Lineup

Other Hyundai models, including the Kona, Venue, and Nexo, had minor changes for the 2023 model year. Overall, Hyundai continues to equip its vehicles with the safety, technology, and comfort features you’ve come to expect from the brand.

Along with the Accent, Hyundai discontinued the Veloster N after expanding the Elantra N and Kona N in 2023. As the automaker continues to focus on its electric lineup, it also stopped making the Ioniq hybrid and plug-in hybrid. Hyundai’s electric offerings now include the following:

  • Elantra Hybrid.
  • Sonata Hybrid.
  • Ioniq 5 (fully electric).
  • Kona Electric.
  • Tucson Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid.
  • Santa Fe Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid.
  • Nexo Fuel Cell.

Coming in 2023: Hyundai Ioniq 6

Hyundai plans to introduce the new Ioniq 6, an electric sedan, in 2023. The second model in the Ioniq lineup will feature Hyundai’s Electric-Global Modular Platform. The new Ioniq 6 will have an estimated driving range of 340 miles, and ultra-fast charging will boost the battery from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes. While Hyundai hasn’t released a launch date yet, it said it expects the Ioniq 6 to go on sale sometime in spring 2023, with pricing announced at that time.
