43rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Location: Kiesel Park, 520 Chadwick Lane

Time: 10 a.m. to noon

Date: Saturday, April 8

Being that it’s the 43rd year of this annual Easter egg hunt, you can trust that it’s going to be amazing. It’s hosted by the Auburn Parks and Recreation Department at the beautiful 124-acre Kiesel Park, the city’s largest park. And it’s open to all, which means kids of any age can participate in the activities, such as the egg hunt, playing games, and even getting their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

You can pre-register for the event starting on March 6 to make sure you secure your spot. You want to be sure you can get in on all the fun and maybe even win some prizes.

4th Annual Easter Ornament Hunt

Location: Downtown Historic District, Prattville

Cost: Free

Time: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Date: Saturday, April 8

Take a drive to downtown Prattville’s historic district on Saturday, April 8, to hunt for ornaments. This will be the fourth annual Easter Ornament Hunt. These ornaments are handmade by Julianne Hansen Fine Art & Pottery. To join in the hunt, just walk around the historic district in search of ornament cards, and when you find one, take it to Julianne Hansen Fine Art & Pottery to get your beautiful ornament. It’s that simple.

You can redeem your card for a free ornament any time on Saturday, April 8, until 5 p.m. The cards will be hidden in locations that are fairly easy to find, so you won’t have to go into any other businesses or disturb anyone’s property to get to them. It’s a fun way to explore the community and check out a new small business.

2023 Breakfast With the Bunny

Location: Kiesel Park, 520 Chadwick Lane

Cost: $5 per person

Time: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Date: Saturday, April 1

For families with young children, the second annual Breakfast with the Bunny event is just the thing to create lasting memories and have fun while you’re at it. This event is only for children aged 3 and younger and their parents. You must pre-register to enjoy breakfast with the Easter Bunny because seating capacity is limited — no walk-ups are permitted, as everyone must have a ticket. After your meal, there’ll be an egg hunt starting at 9:30 a.m., where your child can find eggs and win prizes.

In addition to the excitement of having breakfast with the Easter Bunny and joining in the egg hunt, attendees will get to pet farm animals, have their faces painted, and take photos with the Easter Bunny. Make sure to get a balloon animal made just for your little one before you go. Each one is unique and will help your child feel special on this fun-filled day.

Easter Brunch at Botanic

Location: The Grille, 1702 Frederick Road

Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Make your reservation now for Easter Brunch at The Grille at Botanic. You won’t be disappointed. Every ingredient it uses is either produced on-site or locally sourced. This means every meal is full of healthy, delicious foods that will keep you coming back for more. For Easter Sunday, it’ll have a special buffet that’s sure to offer some of its most popular menu items and maybe a few spring specials, too.

Although we’re not exactly sure what will be served, a few of its standard brunch menu items include banana bread French toast, chicken and waffles, a classic burrito, and biscuits and gravy. It also offers a selection of muffins, scones, and croissants that will definitely hit the spot. If you go after noon, you can order a mimosa to go with your meal. It has several options you can try.

Adult Easter Egg Hunt

Location: Throughout the city of Opelika

Cost: Free

Time: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Date: Friday, April 7

An Easter egg hunt just for adults? That’s right. Throughout the city of Opelika, you’ll have a chance to find clues and search for hidden eggs. When you find an egg, you can take it to the Opelika SportsPlex, which will give you a fun prize for your efforts. The clues for finding the eggs will be available through Facebook and Instagram. Just check out @opelikaparks. The clues will lead you to various locations around the city, and you’ll have to keep your eye out if you want to find them.

Keep in mind you won’t be the only one on the hunt because this event is free and open to the public, so anyone can participate. Clues will become available starting on April 3, but you’ll have to hunt down the eggs by April 7 if you want to claim one of the prizes on offer.
