2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV Specs: Trims, Interior, and More

Trim Levels

The brand new 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 will be available in three trim levels:

• Hyundai Ioniq 6 SE.
• Hyundai Ioniq 6 SEL.
• Hyundai Ioniq 6 Limited.

Hyundai has yet to release information on the pricing of each trim, but is going to provide more details closer to the vehicle’s launch in Spring 2023.

Performance and Efficiency

The vehicle is available in rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). Buyers can also choose between the standard range or extended range batteries, with the former’s capacity at 53 kWh and the latter at a higher 77.4 kWh. Charge time on the RWD standard range model using a standard 120V charger takes about five hours and 20 minutes, generating about 340 miles of driving range. With access to fast chargers, this time reduces significantly to 58 minutes and even as low as 18 minutes, depending on the charging station’s power.

Because the Ioniq 6 is all-electric, it produces zero carbon emissions that are typical of gasoline-powered vehicles. The EPA has yet to release a miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) for the Ioniq 6, which is their version of a fuel economy rating for electric vehicles.

Engine Power

All three trims on the Ioniq 6 lineup operate using the same Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM). The RWD standard range battery can create up to 149 horsepower and 258 pounds-feet of torque. The version with RWD and extended range can generate up to 225 horsepower with the same torque, while the AWD model, thanks to its front and rear motors, has a higher horsepower of 320 and an impressive torque for a sedan at 446 pounds-feet.

Exterior Features

The 2023 Ioniq 6 will be available in seven exterior paint colors: Onyx Black Pearl, Serenity White Pearl, Transmission Blue Pearl, Digital Green Pearl, Curated Silver Metallic, Ultimate Red Metallic, and Gravity Gold Matte. Standard lighting features on the SE trim include automatic LED headlights, LED daytime running lamps, LED taillights, and LED interior lights, along with a cargo light and center high-mount stop lamp. It also includes heated mirrors with LED turn signal indicators, solar front glass, 2-speed variable intermittent windshield wipers, a rear spoiler, a hands-free smart trunk, and a power open and close charge-port door.

Interior Features

The interior surfaces of the Ioniq 6 come in three color options: black, gray, and dark green/gray. Standard interior features on the entry-level trim include a seating capacity of up to five people, stain-resistant cloth, an eight-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar support, and heated front seats. Other features include carpeted floor mats, mesh seatback pockets, a dual automatic temperature control system, 2nd-row air vents, an in-cabin air filter, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, and a 60/40 split fold-down bench seat with a center armrest and cup holders to maximize space.

Standard technology and entertainment features on the all-electric Ioniq 6 include a 12.3-inch color touchscreen paired with a six-speaker audio system, onboard navigation, traffic flow and incident data, dynamic voice recognition, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, Bluetooth Multiple Device Connection for up to two devices, two USB chargers in the center console and backseat, and a rearview monitor with parking guidance.

Safety and Security
